A little while back I took a trip on a sunny Saturday afternoon down to the Kensington neighbourhood here in Calgary to check out Meraki Supply Co. for their customer appreciation event. While I was there I bumped into Dustin Paisley & Connor Curran. If these names sound familiar to you it’s because they are the duo behind the well-known and well-loved Calgary clothing company–Local Laundry.
We got talking and I shared with them a bit more about thebloom.coffee and they shared more about themselves and Local Laundry. We quickly realized we’re both incredibly passionate about building community, championing local, and of course, drinking coffee! We brainstormed some ideas and got the ball rolling on a guest blog feature. We met up at Calgary Heritage Coffee Roasters to snap a few pics and finalize plans for the blog.
We wanted the blog post to showcase a number of the incredible cafes that Calgary has to offer, and let people know what are some of the best summer-drinks that each of them are currently offering! We know that summer doesn’t seem to last long here in Calgary, so it’s probably a good idea to get outside, grab a tasty drink, and enjoy this beautiful place we call home.
It was an absolute blast to hang out with Dustin & Connor. I want to say a huge thanks to both of them for pulling this all together. And a huge thanks to Calgary Heritage Roasting Co. for letting us use their space for the photo shoot.
