Coffee Roaster of the Month – 5 Years!

Today marks 5 years sharing stories of various coffee roasters!

WOW.

I have always been a storyteller. That was in part why I launched this blog. And I still love telling stories today. One of my favourite stories to tell are those of the incredible specialty coffee roasters that you and I enjoy on a daily basis.

And that’s why today, instead of sharing the story of one roaster, I wanted to thank ALL OF THEM. To say thank you to each and every single roaster that said yes to letting me interview them, and to share their story with you–my readers. And I should say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have taken the time to read these every month.

Here are a five that standout over the past five years.

Pallet Coffee – They were the very first “Coffee Roaster of the Month” and I owe a huge debt of thank to my friend Stacey Lynden who worked for them at the time, and agreed to be the very first coffee roaster featured on this blog.
The Artery Community Roasters – Arguably the LONGEST article on this blog. This might be in part due to owner–Will Wells–being a former parliamentary script writer! He had a lot to say, and you gotta give it to the man, he’s passionate about what he does!
Kiss The Hippo – My first International article on this site. While located in London, former Head of Coffee, Josh Tarlo (a Canadian ex-pat) was a key contributor for getting my first international article on the blog. Thanks man!
Mirror Coffee – I have so much respect for brothers Mark & Sergei Kutrovski, and the great coffee they’re roasting. Partly because I spent much of my childhood growing up in Bellingham, WA, but also just because these two guys are just the real-deal, I was so thrilled to share their story.
September Coffee – Over the past few years the surge of influencers in the coffee space has been hard to miss. But one such influencer, turned YouTuber made one more huge shift and began his own coffee roastery. I loved getting to share the story of Kyle Rowsell and what he has accomplished at September Coffee.

So there’s five stories for five years of this feature on my site. There are SO MANY other great stories, and so many other great roasters. Take some time, scroll through the site, and maybe you’ll discover one or two that are new-to-you!
