One of the things that I love about this blog is that it has connected me to people I might not otherwise have gotten to know.
One such individual that I have really enjoyed getting to know more recently is Matt Krause over at Matt’s Coffee Chat. Matt and I connected up over email and he’s done a write-up about me over on his blog. But I asked him to share just a bit about himself as well so that you can get a sense of his passion as well for specialty coffee.
My name is Matt Krause. Prior to starting Matt’s Coffee Chat in August of this year, I spent six and a half years in the coffee industry as both a barista and a cafe manager. I decided to leave the industry this past June and felt in need of something to fill the void that was left in me from being around coffee all the time. Thus, my blog was born. Matt’s Coffee Chat aims to promote both local independent coffee shops and roasters using my years of experience and knowledge that I gained from my time in the industry.
Matt is based out of Abbotsford, BC. If you’re ever out in that area and you want to know where to find some good coffee make sure to connect with him. He’s got a few reviews up on his site with many more in the works.
