notNeutral Mugs

I own six.

So I guess you could say I have a problem? Or maybe I just have a deep appreciation for aesthetically pleasing mugs that are also well crafted?!

The iconic notNeutral LINO collection is what captured my attention many years ago and continues to be one of the most well loved by baristas and home-brewers alike.

notNeutral was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. They are a small but mighty team of designers whose passion for great design is evident in all they do. From their site, notNeutral is clear that “It’s all about the experience…We believe that there are many stories to be told in our designs, and we tell them by creating objects that become a part of your daily rituals. From your morning coffee to your evening tea, notNeutral is there”.

I can definitely agree that notNeutral has become a part of my morning coffee routine and I hope that it will for you too. Let me share why…

WHAT I LOVE

The first thing you notice when you take hold of a notNeutral LINO cup or mug is the handle that comes flush to the rim of the cup. It not only feels just right when you grab hold of it, it allows for that unforgettable “look” that tells you it’s a notNeutral cup.

The cups & mugs are weighted nicely, feel great in your hand, and are available in their iconic white, or a number of vibrant colours. Again that handle that’s flush with the rim allows your thumb to rest gently on top while you sip that delicious cup of coffee. The interior curve of each cup is designed with creating great latte art in mind, and is also built to ensure optimal thermal insulation. What that all means is that your drink will keep warm, and look great in any of these mugs. That’s a win for me.

LOVED BY COFFEE SHOPS

It appears that coffee shops also love notNeutral mugs. Anytime I travel on holidays I check the coffee shops I visit to see if they have a branded notNeutral Lino mug. So far I have added four to my collection but even if I’m slowly running out of space to store more mugs I will never turn down adding a few more to my collection.

If you know of other coffee roasters that have their own branded Lino 10oz mug let me know…or feel free to send one my way *wink wink*. I also own two 6oz cappuccino mugs that I snagged from Eight Ounce Coffee Supply. They are definitely the go-to place to get your hands on these incredible mugs.

You gotta drink your coffee in something, why not make it a gorgeous notNuetral LINO mug?!

If you want to get your hands on some of these you definitely want to check out Eight Ounce Coffee Supply. They stock most of the notNeutral lineup.

Do you own any notNeutral cups or mugs? What do you love? Let me know in the comments!

Stay Caffeinated,

Tyler

  1. Hello Tyler,

I know this is an old post, but I am also an obsessed collector of the Notneutral Lino mugs. I saw one in your collection that I’ve been trying hard unsuccessfully to find….it’s the one from Merit Coffee. I was wondering if you would be willing to part with it either via trade or purchase. I can pick up a couple from local Austin coffee companies to trade for that mug. Thanks for letting me know I’m not alone in this venture!

    1. Hey Daniel, I’m also an obsessed collector and just stumbled upon this post. Curious what you have locally in Austin. I’m in Raleigh and our NN game is pretty weak, with just one cafe (Jubala) having its own that you can only get in-store.
